DOJ: Sex offender Daniel Cove arrested by local authorities

St. Croix, V.I. – Atty General Denise George today announced the arrest of 36-year-old, Daniel Cove. Cove, a registered sex offender was apprehended by Superior Court Marshals on Thursday, October 10th at the Village Rehabilitation Center in Sion Hill, St. Croix. He was arrested on a warrant, for failing to comply with registration requirements.

Attorney General expresses disappointment that Legislature rejected funding proposed for White Collar Crime and Corruption

St. Thomas, V.I. – Atty General Denise George today released a statement expressing disappointment upon learning that the 33rd Legislature in its 2020 Budget rejected the funding proposed for the White Collar Crime and Corruption section of the VI Department of Justice, as proposed by Governor Bryan in his 2020 supplemental budget.

AG George: Travelers to V.I. submitting fraudulent covid-19 test results will be prosecuted

U.S. Virgin Islands – Attorney General Denise George has announced that anyone found submitting false Covid-19 documents or forged test results to the USVI travel screening portal will be prosecuted pursuant to V.I. Code tit. 14, § 843. AG George will also be joining a coalition of attorneys general representing states, districts, and territories, in a sign-on letter to address deceptive online marketing and sales of Fake Covid Vaccine Cards.
