Attorney General Denise George announces the arrest of Department of Human Services employee, Edith Brathwaite of St. Thomas by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) of the V.I. Dept. of Justice (VIDOJ) for allegedly defrauding the Virgin Islands Medicaid program. The arrest arose from a joint fraud investigation by the MFCU, the V.I. Inspector General’s Office and the federal Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (HHS-OIG).

Kenson Barley Sentenced for Unlawful Sexual Contact with a 9-year-old girl

(U.S. Virgin Islands)- V.I. Attorney General Denise George announces that Kenson Barley was sentenced in the Superior Court for Unlawful Sexual Contact in the First Degree stemming from his sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl in St. Croix in 2019. Barley received 10 years imprisonment for Unlawful Sexual Contact First Degree.
