(U.S. Virgin Islands) – A team of Special Agents from local and federal agencies, recently conducted an operation to verify important information of 54 registered sexual offenders on St. Thomas and St. John. The purpose of the Attorney General Office’s initiative dubbed; “Operation Keeping Watch” was to ensure compliance with registration requirements.
(U.S. Virgin Islands)- Acting V.I. Attorney General Carol Thomas-Jacobs has announced that a Superior Court jury found 44-year-old Oral Christopher Smith guilty of murder after an assault in 2018 that left 35-year-old Regina L. Powell dead.
(U.S. Virgin Islands)- Acting V.I. Attorney General Carol Thomas-Jacobs has announced that 51-year-old Antonio Sanes-Carmona, a registered sex offender, was arrested by the V.I. Dept. of Justice (VIDOJ) Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) Unit on January 11, 2023. Sanes-Carmona, a St. Croix resident, was arrested for failure to comply with the Sex Offender registry.
(U.S. Virgin Islands)- Acting V.I. Attorney General Carol Thomas-Jacobs has announced that 29-year-old Omari Akeem Horton, a registered sex offender, was arrested by the V.I. Dept. of Justice (VIDOJ) Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) Unit on January 9, 2023. Horton was arrested for failure to comply with registration requirements for sex offenders in the Virgin Islands and failure to comply with the Sex Offender registry.
(U.S. Virgin Islands)- V.I. Attorney General Denise George has announced that 40-year-old Javier Rodriguez, a registered sex offender, was arrested by V.I. Dept. of Justice (VIDOJ) Special Agents (SID) and the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) on November 17, 2022. Rodriguez was arrested for failure to comply with registration requirements for sex offenders in the Virgin Islands.
