(U.S. Virgin Islands)- V.I. Attorney General Denise George has announced that 38-year-old Omar J. Suarez, a registered sex offender, was arrested by V.I. Dept. of Justice (VIDOJ) Special Agents (SID), and the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) unit on St. Thomas today. Suarez was arrested for failure to comply with registration requirements for sex offenders in the Virgin Islands.
(U.S. Virgin Islands)- V.I. Attorney General Denise George has announced that on Friday, a Superior Court jury found Samuel Roberts guilty of murder after a shooting in 2017 that left Mc. Donald Samuel dead and Taheem Samuel injured. The trial began on Monday, June 27, 2022, in V.I. Superior Court on St, Croix.
The Attorney General’s Office has received numerous calls and inquiries after yesterday’s United States Supreme Court ruling in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. This case overturned the cases of Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. These two cases determined that a women had a fundamental right in their choice to have an abortion.

Department of Justice Special Agents (VIDOJ) arrested 26-year-old K’zsa Hodge on elder financial abuse and exploitation charges including Embezzlement, Forgery, Grand Larceny, Possession of Forged Instruments and Obtaining Money by false Pretense.
(U.S. Virgin Islands)- V.I. Attorney General Denise George has announced that a St. Thomas Superior Court jury found 39-year-old Devindra Jaglal guilty of Second Degree Assault and Simple Assault on May 26th after he imprisoned a woman against her will in 2020. Jaglal faces up to 10 years in prison for his crimes.
