THOMAS, V.I. – Atty General Denise George reminds the general public that in light of COVID-19 (coronavirus), measures have been put in place to safeguard the public and DOJ employees from potential exposure. The Paternity and Child Support Division (PCSD) has implemented a response protocol to prevent the exponential spread of this novel virus.
DOJ facilities on both St. Thomas and St. Croix are closed to the public and will not conduct person to person services until further notice. Department of Justice’s four facilities that will be closed include the Office of the Attorney General located at the GERS Building, 2nd floor in St. Thomas and #213 Estate La Reine St. Croix, the Division of Paternity and Child Support located on the 2nd floor of Nisky Shopping Center, St. Thomas and #3018 Estate Orange Grove, St. Croix.
V.I. Attorney General Denise George is pleased to announce that the Department has adopted two families for the holiday in conjunction with two victim services agencies; the Family Resource Center to contribute to a family on St. Thomas and the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix to contribute to a family on St. Croix. The group of staff members wanted to add some Christmas cheer to the families in need.
ST.CROIX, U.S.V.I. – Attorney General Denise George announced that Augustus Abraham Martin was arraigned today in the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands on the formal criminal charges filed by the Attorney General against him in the death of Jeremie E. St. Rose on Nov. 10, 2019.
ST.CROIX, U.S.V.I. – Attorney General Denise George announced that Enock Justin Cole and Avondale A. George, Jr. were convicted of murder, assault and robbery charges in connection with the brutal murder of a 73-year-old man in 2015 in the vicinity of David Hamilton Jackson Park, Estate Grove Place.
